"Hi, Kim.
Just wanted to say our trip went very well. We got home safely.
We enjoyed the CIE tour. They hit all the high spots. The Ashling Hotel was lovely and was right near the LUAS tram stop. Didn't spend much time in the Grand Canal, but it was nice. The Dooley in Waterford was an old hotel which is fine. Only problem was we had a room at the back of the hotel under the eaves. It was very hot and there was no ac. We opened our window at the top (slanted out) to see stagnant water standing in the area right outside the window. There were even weeds growing in it. The street had a pub or club right across from our window and it was very noisy. People shouting, etc. they might want to find a different hotel. We did see one a few blocks away that might have been better.
The hotel in Galway, the Westwood House will be torn down the end of this year for University lodgings to be built. We could tell as the rooms aren't being repaired, service wasn't that good, etc. I know CIE will be changing hotels for next year, but it might have been wise to change sooner.
Ireland is beautiful and the people were wonderful. All in all, a great trip.
I hope to contact you again one day about a new adventure.
Thank you for all your help.

"Hi Kim,
We just returned from Mexico last night and I wanted to tell you we had a great time. Everyone said they really enjoyed the resort. We all went zip lining which was a lot of fun.
Everything went according to plan but it was a little hectic at the airport for pickup but Amstar took care of us and also took care of us at the resort. They actually scheduled the zip lining for us. Very friendly and helpful people.
I also wanted to thank you for your hard work and patience. Another job well done. Thanks so very much. Now on to South America!! Dennis"Globus Tours-Introduction to Ireland-May 2017

"Kim,
Lois and I just returned home from our Ireland tour. Once again, Globus exceeded our expectations and gave us a wonderful introduction to all that is wonderful about Ireland. Our tour director, Will Collins was knowledgeable, efficient and filled with Irish humor and good fun! The excursions also proved to be much fun: pub sing-alongs, carriage rides to Ross Castle in Killarney and an excellent dinner show. Also, the hotels were top notch with very friendly staffs. Thanks for all your help in the arrangements and I look forward to working with again in the future.Toni "Trafalgar Tours-Amazing Britain-May 2017

Just to let you know we had a wonderful and awesome time in our Holy Land trip. The renewal of vows that you arranged was perfect .. we all wore white ,each of us (the bride again ..lol !) holding a white Lilly flower and head dress .The celebrated mass was solemn and personal with homily. Our airport transfer was so smooth and in order , our tour director was knowledgeable and fun . Our hotel accommodations are comfortable.
In behalf of our group we thank you very much for all your efforts and quick response to our questions and requests. We appreciate everything esp. your professionalism. We look forward to another trip which we are going to discuss soon.

"Hi Kim,
I want to thank you for help in planning a wonderful trip to Madrid. The hotel Melia Madrid Princessa was beautiful and had an excellent staff. We upgraded for $500 which got us a deluxe room on the top floor with a view of the city. The upgrade included access to the second floor which had an open bar, snacks, canapes, cakes and coffee all day. The tours you arranged were wonderful and the transfer van to and from the airport was right on time. British Airways was excellent and the Economy Plus allowed us extra leg room. The only negative about staying at a city hotel on the main road was the continual ambulance and police sirens at all hours of the night. We didn't get much sleep but we'll make up for it now that we're home. Again, we appreciate your help and answering all of our questions. There's no doubt in our minds who we will turn to if we take another trip and we'll be happy to recommend you to family and friends. Everything was efficiently organise and well planned. We went on most of the additional optional excursions and these were very interesting and worthwhile. The accommodation was comfortable and quiet and the ferry trip most enjoyable. "Kim:
Just realized I haven't told you about my trip to Washington, DC, that you booked for me; and it's been 2 weeks since I returned.
The trip was wonderful, and I had a great time ... couldn't have asked for any better except maybe a bit cooler on the weather but that was something beyond your control, right?
I did so much walking -- my app on my cell phone said I walked 10,000+ steps (almost 11,000) on 3 separate days and 11,000+ steps on 2 separate days -- that my feet and legs were ready for the rest when I got home. Another girl from the Houston area -- she lives in Jersey Village -- was on both my flights so we "buddied up" most of the time while in DC. She was nice enough to take some pictures of me with my camera so I could at least get in some pictures.
I saw plenty of recent memorials that were not in DC the last time I was there (1989) -- the FDR Memorial, World War II Memorial, Korean Memorial -- and of course revisited a bunch like the Capital Building, Mt. Vernon, Arlington Cemetery, Lincold Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, etc. About the time I was thinking of maybe just passing up the chance to see one or two things just so I could rest, I said to myself "Judy, you can rest when you get home ... who knows when you'll get a chance for a return visit."
The Naval Academy was fantastic ... I really enjoyed getting to see that again. Mt. Vernon was also great to see. I'm really glad both of those were included in this tour.
At any rate, I wanted to let you know that this is a very good tour in case anyone asks you about it ... but be sure to let them know that there is alot of walking involved. Everyone in the group seemed to be able to handle all the walking well; but I think it will be nice to know in advance about all the walking involved.
Thanks again for all your wonderful help in getting this tour set up for me. Again, I had so much fun and am so glad I went. And in case anyone should ask me, I shall be more than glad to recommend you to them.
Take care & thanks again!!Monograms_London and Paris-September 2015

"Hi Kim - Our vacation to Europe was all that and more! We loved the Independent Tours in London and Paris. Our local hosts in each country were very supportive and engaging. Whew! - a lot of walking in Europe, especially during our Tour of Italy (Rome,Florence, and Venice). I fell in love with the Eiffel Tower (during the day and at night during a dinner river cruise(w/ its light show). I also loved Venice with its waterways, etc. Amelia loved London and Italy. We also enjoyed the many other people that we met in each country! The ONLY COMPLAINT would be the FIVE HOURS layover at JFK NY after departing Venice, before we actually flew home to Philly.
Amelia and I would like to thank you for your helping to make this a "smooth first time Europe trip" for us! - PAT"Trafalgar Tours-Best of Germany-August 2015

Yes it was wonderful, my husband said this is the best trip ever. We enjoyed exploring every places where we went. The hotels are all fine except the Grande Mercure in Vienna where we had the Reception party. That place was below standard and food is not good.BTW the tour director is capable and has so many years of experience, so we can ask him anything. The driver is another person who I have to mention. He got good driving skill and was willing to help with everything. The local guides are very good as well.So I would say the trip overall was fantastic. Hi Kim,
The tour was amazing. The Amalfi Coast has a beauty that one can only appreciate being there! The breathtaking ride up that coast is one that I will remember for life. All of the girls were in awe of the entire experience. Loretta and Christine had not been to Italy so, Rome rocked their world. And to be honest, it rocked my world for the second time. Rita, Erin and I got to visit a few sites that we had not the last trip in 2004. The Borghese Villa and Gardens were spectacular and we also went to the top of the Castelo de Angelo. The view of Rome was unbelievable!
Our guide, JP, was top-notch. He has such a passion for what he does and his compassion for all of his guests is why anyone taking a tour should choose Globus. He was such a joy. And funny..... from day one he endearingly called us his "Spica Girls" :) He should be commended for the pride and professionalism he shows every minute of the day.
The hotels were okay - not as impressive as the last tour however, I don't mind. As long as they are clean and comfortable, I don't care about the luxury. The hotel in Capri was amazing. One of my favorites of all time - the views from Anacapri are breathtaking. The hotel in Sorrento as in a perfect location and was very nice. However, the hotels we stayed at in Rome, although clean and nice, were not convenient in the aspect of seeing the city. They were several miles from the the center of Rome which required a taxi, battling a lot of traffic, each way. But, that would be my only complaint. The itinerary is great and it allows free time which is important to me. The coaches were new and comfortable. The food was great - the dinner offsite in Rome was fabulous.
So, I want to thank you again for all of your time and help with making this a wonderful trip. You can be sure I will be in touch when I am interested in booking another tour, most likely with the Globus family. Knowing I had your expertise backing my decisions for this trip made all the difference in the world ;)

Hi Kim
Cruise went very well. We had an excellent cruise director with a sense of humor. Said only what was needed and no more. Did not burden us with a lot of hooey. The optional tours were well chosen and very interesting. One thing for sure, walking on cobblestone is not easy. I heard several people on the trip say that because of that fact they felt that one trip a day would have been sufficient. The ship was CLEAN and well appointed. The staterooms were very comfortable and certainly we had more than enough room and places to store suitcases etc. The chef was excellent and his choices of entrees was excellent. The great part about the meals was the quantity. You received all that was needed for a good meal surrounded by the soups, salads, wine and desert. However, you did not get fed like a linebacker as we do here in the US. Always felt comfortable when the meal was finished. I would say the average age for the group, which was 138, as about 70-75. Also quite a few over 80. There in lies the reason for only having one trip a day. We met a lot of single women because they waived the single payment for this trip. We had a blast with about a dozen or so of them. Have to say that Avalon is a great group and we would certainly travel with them again in a minute. Better than Viking and less expensive. "Kim, you have got to take this trip. Japan is beautiful with exciting food, wonderfully friendly people, mountains everywhere. I would never have gone to Japan if not to visit my daughter who is teaching there. And I would have missed so much. As usual, Trafalgar tour was great with a wonderful Tour Director by the name of Mimi. In Japan one has to study hard and take an annual test to become a certified English speaking tour guide. This woman, who is 51 and so delightful and helpful, actually took the test for 10 years before becoming certified. She said she cried a lot after failing, then went back to studying, and just kept on until she got it all right. Can you imagine an American who wanted to do something like this actually spending 10 years trying. I know I would have given up after four or five years.
The Japanese people are so wonderful, helpful if one is in trouble knowing what to do next, and surprisingly generous. After the Trafalgar tour my daughter and I went to a kite festival in Hamamatsu that has only been going on annually for either 200 or 400 years, I just can’t remember. So while I am there I meet a man in his 50s I would guess who was with some other men. He walks up to me and starts talking in Japanese. Obviously, I had no idea what he was saying, but he was smiling so I guessed it was something good. I told him I did not speak Japanese, then he reached into his pocket and brought out a piece of cloth with a paper wrapping indicating is was new. He was wearing a piece of cloth over his head, tied at the back in a knot. He handed me this thing and said, “Present.” As far as I know that is the only English word he knew, although I suspect he knew others as Japanese are reluctant to embarrass themselves by trying to speak English. I nodded, bowed slightly, took it and asked him to help me tie it onto my head. He did. My daughter was so totally surprised, as I was not with her when I met the man, she couldn’t stop laughing at me with this strange headpiece tied around my head. Can you imagine any one of us going up to a foreign visitor and giving them a present worth probably two or three dollars and so welcoming them to our country?
Wonderful place, Japan, you should go. Gary"

"We had a fabulous time with the Insight’s Grand Tour of Italy and Sicily in September. The tour was great! We had an exceptional tour director (Danella) and driver who added a lot to the trip. After touring Great Britain last year with Trafalgar we really appreciated the more legroom that Insight’s busses offer (only having 42 seats rather than 50), We saw many famous and historical Roman and Greek sights. Our favorite places were Venice, the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento and Capri. The hotels were great and all located within the cities not on the outskirts, which gave us more time to spend sightseeing. I would recommend to everyone to bring “good walking” shoes, as there is a lot of walking on cobblestone and uneven surfaces and different height steps.
Kim you have been my go-to travel agent for the past couple of year and we appreciate your great customer service and GoForLess prices are fantastic!

"Hi Kim,
I just wanted you to know what a wonderful vacation we had on the Gate1 Affordable Peru and Galapagos trip. Our Peruvian guide was terrific. The upgrade charge for hotel rooms in Peru was worth the extra cost. There were only 15 of us on the Peru tour and 13 people on the Ecuador portion. The hotels throughout were excellent. Other than rain on Macchu Picchu the trip was ideal. Gate1 was once again an excellent choice for going on a tour. Everything worked well.
Just an FYI in case any clients need to know, there is a lot of walking throughout both countries. The high altitudes (up to 14,000 feet similar to Pike’s Peak) in Peru were a problem for some people. We had altitude meds and they definitely worked. People should not overlook these issues when planning this or a similar trip.

"Hi Kim
We just arrived back from England. The tour was great and we now have lots of memories and some new friends. My wife had a bad hip and is going to need a hip joint replacement soon so that did not help with some of the walking.I am very fit and after one meal we enjoyed dancing and every one was shocked that a 70 year old had much more energy and style than the rest of the guest , We had a lot of laughsThe guide (Pino) did a great job and treated us both very nice. There was young couple on the tour that were on their honeymoon and we of course we celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary.Pino had organized a ride in the gondola for all the guests and he gave us and the honeymoon couple the one with the musicians to serenade us both. It was a wonderful experience that we will never forget,The only complaint was we all went to visit a lace town in the Lagoon in Vienna, We we returned the the boat it was full of mosquitos . We all got badly bitten. I feel the captain of the boat should have know about them and used a spray to kill them before we entered for the return journey, Most of us felt miserable the next day with huge welts all over our bodies. They could have pre warned us to use an insect repellant before we went on the tour" PeteTrafalgar Tours-European Traveler July 2014

"Hi Kim,
Our trip to Spain was great. Our tour director, Tiago Botelho, was one of the best we have traveled with. Fantastic personality, very caring and funny as well. He had us going from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm almost every night. Packed a lot into a short period of time.
Hotels were nice, tour bus was clean and our driver was great as well. Overall a really good trip. Areas we felt could improve was a little more free time. Our free time to be out and discover was limited. Tiago explained that Trafalgar has developed a new program that is slower pace with more free time.
The other area would be our airplane flights. Coming back was four hours out of the way. Not sure why we did not fly into Boston or New York. Would have saved us about six hours on Sunday.
All and all a great trip indeed. Thanks so much for your help and we look forward to working with you on our next trip." RussellInsight Vacations-Best of Italy April 2014

"Hi Kim -
Just wanted to let you know that we are home and had safe travels with both Trafalgar and Globus.
We had a little glitch in the cruise trip - the Olympia ship hit the dock on one of their ports and so we couldn't take off when we were supposed to, thus missing one day of cruising and the ports of Crete and Rhodes. Globus however did give us a one day 3 smaller island cruise, which was nice of them. From what we heard, Globus took better care of us then Trafalgar did with their people, but who knows for sure - I didn't ask anyone.
It was interesting to be able to compare the two companies, especially in the one day in Athens. Felt Trafalgar did a better job in the city tour, and in location of the hotel. Globus's hotel was nice, but on the other side of town, not so close to the Acropolis. Our city tour guide was better with Trafalgar too.
We thought we were sold on Trafalgar, but after hooking back up with Globus, now we are sure they are equal. It would be nice if Globus would offer us a "deal" on our next trip because of the mishap, but I wouldn't count on it! HA
We are looking at doing the Turkey trip in September of 2015 - the two week one with a possible add on in Istanbul before the trip. I'm sure it is too early to even think about this yet, but that is our plan. I plan to get the 2 booklets from Trafalgar and Globus and then we can compare what they show you and what we'll see, and you can calculate what the better deal is if they are comparable.
Thanks for all your help in our travel plans. Sure is nice working with you and saving money on top of it! -Carol"Gate 1 Travel-8 Day Affordable Morocco-October 2013

"I took a gate 1 tour which went from Sunday to the next Saturday It was to short, I would recommend a longer stay. You saw a lot did a lot of walking and spent a lot of time traveling on the bus........the guide I had was exceptional...the people were friendly and they spoke English. But French is their language.....like Europe you pay at most rest stops and they are ok.....very little time to shop except at the places the guides take you." "Kim,
We've just returned from a wonderful 12 days in Bath and London. All went very well, except for flight delays on the way home that had nothing to do with your planning., The Park Plaza Westminster was spectacular. It could not have been in a better place. Each morning on the way to breakfast we looked out at Parliament and Big Ben. Thank you for all your help in organizing the trip. We will certainly keep you, Globus and Monograms in mind when looking at our next adventure.Tony"Globus Tours-German Highlights-May 2013

"Kim, just returned from our Peru trip and wanted to give it a good recommendation. It was a great place to visit and the trip went without any hitches. Peru is a wonderful place to see with , of course, Machu Pichu as one of the highlghts. We did enjoy Cusco and Puno also. It was a well balanced trip, with internal flights, bus and the train to Machu Pichu. Thanks for everything and we will look forward to our next trip, where ever that may be?"--Bill

"Hi Kim -Just want to thank you for your part in our wonderful winter experience! Got home late last night, and today we start catching up again! Sure was a fun way to spend the winter. We were REALLY impressed with Trafalgar. We had a gal named Ellen for our guide and she was one of the best we've ever had, so made the trip really fun. We had 47 traveling companions which made us a little nervous, but they were well traveled and always on time, so it went smoothely. Had a one year old bus and it was top of the line, so travel was comfortable too. The only negative to our whole experience was the weather, but when you travel in March, you have to expect that. Didn't slow us down any, just needed the warmer clothes we had brought and our umbrellas!!We're already talking about what we want to do next winter. We are thinking Greece right now and both Trafalgar and Globus have trips that include a cruise and go in March, so it will depend on which itinerary is the best, and which one we think will go for sure. Ellen said this trip combined the one supposed to be leaving 2 weeks earlier because of lack of people. She said travel in Europe was down quite a bit with the economy, so the guides are hurting too. Gas prices don't help the issue!Again, thanks for your help, and we'll be getting in touch with you when we know more about our winter plans for next year!"--CarolTrafalgar Tours-Contrasts of Italy-September 2012

"Hi Kim,
Pardon me please for not writing to you after returning from the tour. My wife and
I had a fabulous time with the Trafalgar tour. Saw many
famous sights, hotels were great, had some wonderful meals and enjoyed
the tour director Michael Doherty (sp?). And the people in our tour
group were wonderful. It was the first time that my wife and I joined a tour group
so I had some strong apprehensions before the tour. But Michael made everyone
feel very comfortable and was so patient."--KenGlobus Tours-Best of Italy-October 2012

"Hi Kim -
We made it back safe and sound from our trip to South America. What an adventure. Great traveling companions and hotels and locations - just a wonderful trip. We're already looking forward to Spain! Speaking of which, we got the $122 refunded on our credit card - thank you for that! Pays for our airport transfers!! Thank you for being on top of that - we would have never known they changed the price. Guess that's what a GOOD TRAVEL AGENT can do for you!
We got a surprise leaving Quito to come back to Miami. With airport security, the guy let us off and we got in line to get our own seats. They gave us Preferred Business Class - got to go to the lounge before flying and then got 3rd row reclining seats and a down filled blanket!! Could have eaten steak or shrimp, but we declined at midnight and opted to sleep instead! HOW NICE!! I don't know how or why they upgraded us, but we sure enjoyed it! Too bad it more then doubles the cost of flying, or we'd do that every time! HA
After talking to our traveling companions who all were world travelers, I think Dave has expanded his "bucket list", so I'm sure you will be hearing from us again! So many great places to visit.
Thank you for everything."-- Carol

We did have a 3 hour delay at JFK that made it a 9 hour ordeal, being so tired from all the flying, but we survived and really enjoyed it all, especially the people we met. The weather was great though hot touring the ruins, but totally fascinating and islands as beautiful as we remembered. "It was really great Kim. It was our (my sister, me, and my Mom) first time on a tour to another country and it could not have been better. I would highly recommend Globus to anyone who asked me. Our tour guide was great. Incredibly smart and he did so many little extra things that added to the trip like giving us mini history lessons on the bus before we arrived at a destination so that we could get a feel for its history. It was so well structured and organized and the accommodations were very nice. We were very pleased with the experience we received for the money we paid. "Dear Kim!!
Hope you are doing fine? Kim, just to give you some feedback on my tour booked through your fine establishment – it was absolutely fabulous!!!! The tour itself was from 11 – 21 May but my friend and I were there for 2 weeks and it was just great. We did not know prior who would be our travelling companions, well in the end everybody was from The States and only Lizette and I from somewhere else, but it was lots of fun and we made such good friends and are still in e-mail contact with our new Alpine country friends.
The tour guide – Jeff – did a fantastic job. Collette Vacations surely knows how to pick a hotel – city – town – resort – up to the last cow!!!! It was just great, an unbelievable experience. I also experience snow for the 1st time in my life. It was in Oberamergau and it was just amazing. Also when on Gornergrat. Overall we had great weather – more sun than rain, not to hot but also not to cold.
I already began to save again, cause surely in the future I would love to do another trip through you and will not mind if it is going to be with Colette again.
Thanks also for all your assistance and help. Highly appreciated."--Sanet

"Hi Kim,
Thanks so much for finding this tour for us! It was the correct price range, and we saw so much. We went to London a day early and stayed at the same hotel as the tour, and we were really glad we did, because we got to do lots of things in London before the group gathered and left for France. We did most of the add-ons, because it would have been too hard to get around to all the things we wanted to see in the other cities. We also liked that we didn't have to wait in lines, since the group had reservations.
It worked out well to have transportation to the airport in Rome, also. Our tour leader was very good and told us about the places we were going while we were enroute on the bus. I had been to all of the cities we visited previously, but I still enjoyed it very much, and my daughters who hadn't been to any of the places were amazed.
It really would have been fun to have had you along, Kim. You provided us so much help ahead of time, and you always seemed to be available when I had questions. Thank you so very, very much!"--CarolynGlobus Tours-Newfoundland and Labrador-June 2012

"We recently returned from participating in the Globus tour around the province of Newfoundland & Labrador. This was a 12 day trip with travel days at the beginning and end of the trip. We did miss the first day of the tour (actually day 2) in Corner Brook because of missed connections on the first travel day. After the first tour day everything went as noted in the tour description by Globus. There were 38 persons on our trip with most of people being from Canada. We used a large (55?) passenger bus so there was a little space to spread out, if one wanted to, at the back of the bus. Daily seat rotation was maintained by the excellent tour guide who was quite knowledgeable of the area. He had clearly done this tour a number of time so that he and the very good driver.made a good team in presenting the tour to us.
The initial weather we had was one of clouds , rain, and fog. The fog especially hindered our seeing some of the views we wanted to see. However towards the end of the trip we went to Cape Spear , the most easterly part of North America, to be greeted by a fog rapidly rolling in. This was discouraging. However the next day we returned to the site where the views were great with the fog far in the distance. On our trip, by ferry, across the Strait of Belle Isle we had hoped to see some icebergs. Fog again hindered our views on our ferry trip. However we later found out that there were no icebergs in the straits for us to see. In fact, despite repeated attempts by the guide and driver to find icebergs no were see by our group on the whole trip. The accommodations were generally good for the trip although Globus described some as rustic. We felt they they were better than rustic and in some places (St. John's) a very modern hotel was used for our stay. The food scheduled for the trip varied in quality. Generally good would be appropriate. In a few cases optional luncheons were scheduled in some places where some felt the costs were somewhat high. In one spot an optional lunch was offered at a cost of about $20 which was considered high and probably why only about 10 persons signed up for the lunch. On the other hand we did stop for lunch, at least once. where many different fast food restaurants were available at very nominal prices. It is hard to pick the highlights because we saw so many interesting places. The boat trip to Witless Bay has to stand high on our trip because of the whale sightings ( a large 45' humpback whale entertained our group for more than an half hour) and the massive bird sightings (puffins, etc.) on a small island bird sanctuary which is said to be the largest puffin sanctuary in North American. We were very pleased that we took this trip because of the many things we saw and learned. A suggestion to possible travelers is to see the 1991 movie The Shipping News before going on the trip. A number of locations used in the movie are visited on this trip. And finally we appreciated by the help of Kim Brown of GOFORLESSTOURS in working with Globus, on our behalf, on the travel arrangements for this trip."--RichardGlobus Tours-La France-June 2012

"Thank you Kim for the great service. It was impeccable. Always on timely
fashion and to the point.
Trip was good, very organized. Great service and great guide.
We had some dissatisfaction with itinerary. Some place, like Lyon we barely

There is nothing there to see for such long time.
But overall impression is very good.

"Kim
We absolutely loved Globus's Grand Catholic Italy tour. The group kept us very busy seeing some incredible sights. It was great to be able to skip very long lines at the Vatican, the uffizi, and he colosseum. Our local tour guides were all very knowledgable and explained the history of the various cities and places we saw.
Rome was amazing. We packed so much in. On our own we did the spanish steps, the Trevi fountain, the pantheon, piazza nervonna. With the group we did all four of the major basilicas, the vatican, colosseum, and forum.
Assisi is a grand city. Nothing like being around all of the churches dedicated to St. Francis and St Clare.
Florence is great and Venice is a fairy tale.
I am so glad we did the extra day in Rome up front and two days in Venice at the end. It let us see the rest of the sights the tour did not hit.
Can't say enough good things about our tour director. He told us where to go during free time and made sure we ate well. My wife has a Luton allergy and we weren't sure how that would work but he made sure that everyplace had appropriate food for her.
You were also very helpful in getting us the appropriate tour. We really appreciate all of your work.
We plan on traveling with Globus again and using your agency.
I think our next trip will be their faith based tour of Ireland.
Thanks again. This was a truly great trip and an amazing honeymoon."--Richard

"Your service was great, Kim. We had a very good time, we were lucky because we had a big new bus and only 24 people. There were a variety of ages and nationalities. In addition to 8 from US, we had people from India, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. We wish we did not spend so much time on a bus, but we did cover a lot of territory. We were glad we extended in Budapest, and we would recommend that others extends several days in Vienna. Accomodations were good, and we particularly enjoyed Lake Bled ( this is a must do excursion, and I would have liked to spend at least a night there.) Plitvice Lakes is another highlight, as we are hikers. We enjoyed all the cities, especially Dubrovnik, Zagreb and Budapest. We learned not to do too many excursions such as Trieste and Montenegro...and I would not have gone to Bratislava, and I would have spent more time in Vienna. It was nice to have time to explore on your own, and not do everything as a group." --Jean

"This was our 5th Globus tour and, as usual, it lived up to our expectations. If you want to see as much of Australia and New Zealand, as possible, this is the tour for you. So many other tours we investigated did not cover the amount of territory this one did. As what will probably be a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us, we wanted to maximize the experience. Our tour director was a native Australian and a veteran guide. She made every effort to insure that we got to experience as much as possible, even going beyond the published itinerary. There was little down time. We traveled to the rainforest near Cairns, to the hot, dry climate of the Outback and Kakadu National Park, to the vineyards of southern Australia, and on to the cool, snow-capped mountains of New Zealand. We visited major cities such as Sydney, Darwin, Melbourne, Adelaide, Queenstown, and Auckland, plus toured the islands of Fiji and Tasmania. We saw a great variety of flora and fauna, with the opportunity to pet and feed wallabies. Our hotels and meals met the Globus standards. Transportation included river boats, aerial gondolas, the Ghan Train, other railroads, traversing beautiful territory, high speed boats, comfortable buses with, informative, safe drivers, plus a total of 17 flights. The optionals offered a variety of experiences and we took advantage of many. Without a doubt, we can highly recommend Globus and the opportunities this particular tour affords.
We appreciate the time and help Kim Brown of GoForLessTours provided. She expertly took care of all the details in arranging this tour for us with Globus and kept us informed every step of the way in the booking process. The discount offered by GoForLessTours on Globus itineraries made the deal just a little sweeter. Thank you, Kim, for your hard work."--Judy, GA

The country has some history to be seen and discovered. The tour director and bus driver were top notch. The hotels were good except the meals they served should have been more Polish specialties. "My name is Lew and I am from Malaysia. This is my first time booking a tour online and thanks to Kim, I took my chance and booked Trafalgar Western Discoverer ( upon her advice ) with www.goforlesstours.com and it was good all the way. Being a first-timer,I am one fickle customer. I had send so many emails to Kim - from changing tour and hotel dates to endless "what if" inquiries and she answered every single questions promptly. Added with the tour discounts and security of credit card details, I will definitely recommend my children and friends to book tours with Kim.
As for Trafalgar Western Discoverer Tour, this tour deserves to be a SOLD OUT tour. Thanks to Trafalgar Tour Director, Jordan Allen and his lady driver, Sharlini ( I hope it is the correct spelling) - from the start ( our hotel in LA) to the end ( to our airport ), we were given a first class treatment. Jordan is a very knowledgeable guide, on the day itself before reaching our destinations, he will explained about our destinations and its history. He also provides us with maps of every stops which is really valuable since not all meals are provided. Jordan even brought us to places that not shown in the tour list. Sharlini ( our lady driver ) is one steady driver and she always makes sure she is around the stairs to hold us on. My wife, a stroke patient, appreciates Sharlini's gestures.
In a nutshell - Kim, Jordan and Sharlini deserve a THUMBS UP." --Lew, MalaysiaGlobus Tours-Best of Switzerland-May 2011

"The trip was excellent ... highly recommended. The trip is one complete loop around the country, including Northern Ireland, where my ancestors came from. Globus did a good job of getting the group to tour sites early, ahead of other tour groups. The optional trips were very good - on the expensive side - that is the way that it is. Ireland is a European country, and it is expensive. Going a day early was wise, as well. Globus is a "good buy". You are very busy on the trip which is fine, you see more things that way - I can rest when I get home.
Very pretty country and super friendly people. The bus was full (40 people) ... no surprises there, I did a Scotland tour with Globus 2 years ago. The guide and driver were excellent, and the weather was surprisingly good ... highs in the 60''s, typically.
People should not be concerned about going to Northern Ireland (safety-wise). You are really there only one day. Also, you get into Belfast (Northern Ireland) about 5 PM, take a brief tour of the city, and then leave the next AM.
You were great, getting on Globus'' case when my pre-departure package did not arrive. Thanks."--Roger, New Jersey

Gate 1 Travel-13 Day Russian River Cruise May-2011
1/23/2018 11:07:23 AM Link 0 comments | Add comment
"Hi, Kim,
We did enjoy our Russian River Cruise, especially St. Petersburg with its spectacular, ornate palaces! However, some of the amenities were disappointing: The staterooms on the ship were very small, which we expected after reading the on-line descriptions. Unfortunately, though, there was not really any comfortable place to sit and relax on the ship - the best we could find was in one of the bars - though, thankfully, we didn't feel obligated to purchase anything there. There were relatively comfortable Rubbermaid-type chairs on the sun deck, but there were also some chaise lounges stored in an off-limits part of the deck that were never brought out for use. The food was more disappointing - the first and last couple of nights, there was no choice on the dinner menu, and in some cases, the only entrée available was fish, which many people either can't or don't eat. That was all right with us, being seafood lovers, but the fish that was served was very strong and contained bones that we had to pick around. The portion sizes were not satisfying to a manly appetite, and no additional portions were available. The service in the dining room was not up to par, with inexperienced servers who could not speak or understand a word of English. But, to their credit, when we found that fish was the only entrée on the menu one night late in the trip, we and our tablemates requested chicken instead the night before, and we did receive that. And the salads were delicious and beautifully presented.
Another surprise was the tipping guidelines that we received while on the trip: They were $2-$3 per person per day higher than Gate1's internet-published guidelines, plus we were expected to tip the Gate1 guide/coordinator $6-$7 per person per day, with additional (optional) tips for the ship guides that traveled with us. We did not follow those guidelines, adhering more to the original published guidelines, plus a nominal (small) amount for the Gate1 guide, and a larger nominal amount for the ship guide that we were associated with through most of the trip. (The latter person shared in the general crew tip, also.) We felt we did not receive much personal, one-on-one service from the Gate1 coordinator, based on the nature of her job, not on her own behavior, so we felt a large tip was not warranted.
Having said all that, we did find Moscow and St. Petersburg fascinating and extraordinarily beautiful! Some of the stops along the way were not quite so spectacular, but we understand that the ship had to stop somewhere. The optional side excursions were wonderful - we took the one to the Sergiev Posad monastery from Moscow, and to Pushkin and Pavlovsk from St. Petersburg, along with the canal boat ride in St. Petersburg. The Catherine Palace at Pushkin, and the included tour of the Hermitage Museum, along with the included excursion to Peterhof, with its 150+ gold-decorated fountains, made the whole trip worthwhile.
I don't think we can hold Gate1 Travel responsible for the disappointments on this trip - most of our problems were due to Vodohod, the Russian travel company that runs the river cruises. We spoke with several other couples who had taken Gate1 trips elsewhere, and they were pleased with those. I suppose we can only hold Gate1 responsible for booking with Vodohod, but there may be no other choice. I will say that the Vodohod guides that accompanied us all the way were very good, and could communicate very well in English; the local guide in St. Petersburg, Stan, who we had for all our tours and excursions, was excellent - very knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, at times amusing, and communicative.
Finally, Kim, with regard to your service in arranging the trip for us: don't think we could have received any better! You were very patient, timely, and responsive to all our sometimes-naïve requests and questions, helping us through all the booking hassles and frightening procedures in getting Russian visas. Thank you so much for all that. We will certainly be pleased to book future travel through GOFORLESSTOURS (and, in fact, we already have)."--Frank, North Carolina

"Hi Kim,
We loved the tour with a few exceptions. Most people on the tour wrote lengthy negative evaluations on the surveys that the tour director gave us. We were so disappointed with the food in the included dinners. Very cheap entrees that tasted like cafeteria food. The hotel in Venice was extremely far from the city. Even with the 3 extra excursions that the gave us, it was such a huge distance away from the city that we didn't get the flavor of Venice at night since we had to go and come with the group. The hotels in Rome and Florence were very nice, modern and clean. Tour and city guides were terrific. Thanks for all your guidance and assistance."--Sharon, NJ

"Hi, Kim!
I just returned from my trip yesterday (still trying to get back on Pacific Standard Time). It was fantastic! We had an amazing Tour Director named Jennie Ewers and a great group overall. There were only 18 of us (all Americans), and we got along smashingly.
The tour itself is a fabulous overview of New Zealand and Australia which, for me at least, moved at a quick enough pace that I didn't get bored while still allowing some down time to recover and explore on my own. I feel comfortable going back on my own to see more which is exactly what I wanted to achieve. Thank you so much for helping me get there!"--Alicia, California
Tauck Tours-A WEEK IN ROME, UMBRIA & TUSCANY-April 2011

"Tauck did everything perfectly. The hotels and meals that were included with the tour were always excellent. The tour escort was excellent, knowledgeable, and courteous, as were all the local guides that were brought in for special commentary or additional guidance at special locales, such as the Vatican museums and St. Peter''s in Rome. They were all so knowledgeable about their specific location. The tour escort went WAY out of her way to provide additional sightseeing, shopping, dining or entertainment opportunities. It was a very nice tour, covering interesting regions of Italy, saw lots of beautiful small towns, and and experienced much history and world-class art. I saw many things i had read about over the years.
My only complaint about this trip, and it is a very small complaint, as we covered lots of wonderful sights, was that it was tiring. Lots of walking on cobblestone roads, lots of climbing up to hilltop towns and cathedrals. The sights were worth the effort of course, but my legs were so tired.
Thank you for all your assistance on my recent Tauck trip to Italy. You were on top of my travel plans from the first planning stages, and kept me informed of changes and activity as the travel date drew nearer. You provided very personal, timely and involved service, even from a distance, which insured a completely problem-free vacation and many wonderful experiences."--Diane, OhioUniworld River Cruises-Tulips & Windmills-March 2011

"We thoroughly enjoyed the Uniworld cruise. The crew was so nice and helpful. The food and wine were delicious. We ate ourselves silly. The itinerary was just the right pace - not too fast and not too slow- and the local tour guides were very knowledgeable.
Each day held a new adventure of quaint old villages, windmills, and beautiful scenery. The only downside was the weather. It started off rainy, windy and cold. I would probably recommend trying the second booking for a possibility of better weather. All in all it was a delightful trip that I hated to see end.
Thank you so much for helping us book this trip. We hope to try another river cruise next year."--Mary, Arizona

"We found the coach clean with plenty of leg room and the tour director was excellent. He was well educated with over 30 years experience as a national tour guide.
Nothing was too much trouble for him and he even rearranged the itinerary to give us more time to shop in Marrakesh and Casablanca. All the hotels were of excellent standard and the food consisted of buffet style meals which were quite bland but, nonetheless, had an excellent choice. Bottles of water were provided free by the tour director but most of use also bought our own supplies. We were, however, warned against drinking the orange juice in the hotels as the ice used could be suspect. For the minor bumps and any travel sickness there was a first aid kit handy. The downside to a coach tour is the long hours on the road but this is inevitable if you want to see a lot of the country so it was a case of early to rise and few late nights. The tour had some optional visits and we chose to take two, visits to a garden combined with a tour of an old palace and the "must do", the visit by jeep to the dunes of the Sahara. This is not for the frail or faint hearted. At speeds of 50-60 mph over desert tracks in clouds of dust we eventually arrived at the sand dunes with an optional camel ride. Sunset over the sand dunes is quite a site! Do remember that Morocco is still a North African country and whilst the hotels are to the standard you would expect, the infrastructure and general behaviour of the inhabitants aren't. Road crossings are for decoration only and the side walks are simply another lane for the motor scooters!
Finally and here's the warning, the tour starts from Casablanca. Insight provide free transfers but cleverly choose times which do not correspond with the main airline arrivals and departures. Don't choose the Insight private transfer at $44 each. Take a taxi for around $50. On the return there are enough passengers to hire a mini bus for around $20 each.
Do not, under any circumstances fly Royal Air Maroc. It may be tempting to go direct from JKF but be sure and use an American or European carrier. Air Maroc planes are old and shabby and the flight crew are rude, surly and don't know how to smile. Everything is too much trouble. On our return journey we arrived at the airport at 05-00 for an 08-00 flight to London Gatwick to be told "the plane is full". We had a confirmed booking made 5 months earlier. It did seem a bit suspicious that, mainly, the Europeans were on standby! The check in staff could not be bothered and there was no supervisor to complain to. We finally got transferred to a much later plane going to London Heathrow. This meant that we lost our connecting flights and had to re book for the next day with the cost of overnight accommodation. To date there has been no response from Air Maroc to my complaint. We were, however, pleased to get that alternative flight as Casablanca airport is quite the worst airport I have used. Oh, and do check your travel insurance. The flight wasn't delayed or cancelled so that's the "get out" clause - being refused boarding is not covered!!!
We live in the UK but we booked our tour with GoForLess Tours who gave us the cheapest prices both in the US and UK. We actually saved $700 by booking with them. The tickets were sent by DHL and we received them just as quickly as in the US. Kim was extremely helpful and responded to my emails almost immediately. I shall definitely use them again."--John, ScotlandGlobus- Great Resorts of Canadian Rockies with Rocky Mountaineer

"We had a great time on the Great Resorts of the Canadian Rockies tour. Our guide, Darcy did a great job explaining the area history and organizing all the details of our tours so that we didn't have to worry about a thing. The staff at Globus made sure to secure our group the best seats on the Rocky Mountaineer on our trip from Banff to Vancouver; we were in the very back of the last car of the train so we had spectacular 300-degree views from the train leaving Banff.
I always get great personalized service from my travel agent, Kim. Kim makes herself readily available to answer questions, even on weekends. I can count on Kim to respond to any and all of my questions, and taking care of the details for my travel arrangements. I plan on booking my next trip with her soon!"--Richard Sun, Kildeer, IL

I enjoyed meeting people too and in this case there were a lot to know. We were the only people from the California and just about the 8-9 people were from the USA. I will keep in mind that you are able to do a individual packages too. So see you soon. Thank you very much for your excellent service and being so nice and caring person."--Bill and Eve Grant, Glendale, CA.CIE-Taste of Scotland and Ireland-August 2010

Hi Kim,
"Our CIE trip to Ireland and Scotland was very enjoyable. We covered about 1500 miles in 9 days of touring. I think I would have liked to have spent an extra day in the cities we visited. Covering so much territory did not leave much more than a day in Edinburgh or Dublin. We really were in Glasgow for 1/2 a day since we arrived the first day and left the next one. The cities have many sights to see and there was not enough time to see all. The entertainment was terrific. I did not know what to expect for the Tattoo in Edinburgh, we were pleasantly surprised. It was wonderful.
What was especially nice about this trip, was that other than two dinners on our own there were no extras. Any tours we have taken in the past offer side trips, banquets, and entertainment but as extras. I like the idea of paying for everything in advance even though the costs are probably the same in the end. CIE seems to be a good choice for travel in this part of the world.
Thank you for your help in planning this vacation. We wanted non-stop flights to and from Newark and you were able to find them for us. Your quick response to questions was a plus. Other companies do not offer the same kind of personalized attention that you do and for me this is very important. I have recommended your company to some of my friends. We will certainly contact you when planning our next vacation."

"Kim at GoForLessTours.com helped enormously in arranging a complicated itinerary for a trip to Spain and Portugal that had to be coordinated with my work arrangements in Portugal. She did this quickly and courteously, with a very appealing personal touch. On arriving in Lisbon, I was greatly pleased and surprised by the fact that a correspondent Portuguese travel agent met my son and I at the airport to make sure everything was proceeding as planned. All of the hotels on the itinerary were excellent and within our budget. Even taxis from airports to hotel were planned and included. Kim was very considerate in answering my questions before and during the trip. I rate and recommend her services very highly!" -- Steve Brown, Houston, TX
